Associate Director of Communications
She/Her
WHAT MAKES ME HOPEFUL?
Seeing how the anger of young people, when channelled into collective action, continues to positively impact the lives of those around me.
WHAT MAKES YOU ANGRY?
Bearing witness to how systems of oppression unrelentingly rob people of a high quality of life while perpetuating a cycle of inequality for those who exist in the intersections.
Bio
I have built my strategic communications and brand strategy knowledge working on global and grassroots projects both within the traditional advertising and non-profit sector. I’ve worked with governments, civil society, foundations, academia, and NGOs, using social behaviour change communications (SBCC) to positively influence social impact, development and sustainability policies, and behaviour. With a background in student campaigning, and a BA in English Language and Literature from the University of Oxford, I passionately believe in the power of using great communications as a vehicle for change.
Outside of work, I’ve been a spoken word poet for over 10 years now, and have a deep love for filmmaking that gave birth to my production company Atinuda Productions Ltd. I’m also a published writer whose work has been featured in a number of anthologies including 4th Estate Books’ Loud Black Girls anthology, Rhodes Must Fall: The Struggle to Decolonise the Racist Heart of Empire, Thiiird Magazine, Teen Vogue and more.
